Materials & Sourcing

Garments and accessories are carefully selected to suite the conditions and parameters of chainstitch embroidery. amandaconda made is a ‘one woman show’, sourcing second hand and vintage materials. Placing bulk orders for new clothing items to be made of raw materials feels wonky for this small studio practice, and unnecessary when plenty of clothing has already been mass produced. chainstitch is a beautiful way to breathe new life into that garment, waiting for the touch of detail that turns it into a daily use item, a chance to be utilized to its fullest.
